Who Can You Trust? — 9:30a.m. to 10:15a.m.
*This panel will focus on how to find trust in the news and the importance of having a trusted news source.

Preserving Democracy in the Era of Misinformation — 10:20a.m. to 11:10a.m.
*This panel will discuss the ways misinformation threatens democracy on a global scale. Topics will also include hate speech, conspiracies, and global journalism.

Seeing is Believing — 11:15a.m. to 12p.m.
*Topics of this panel focus on deepfakes and the impact they have today. Specifically, the power of visual media in spreading disinformation and crisis response.

When You Become the Target — 12:30p.m. to 1:35p.m.
*This panel will address when individuals and organizations become the target of misinformation and political propaganda.

Conspiracies: What Attracts Us? — 1:45p.m. to 2:45p.m.
*This panel will discuss why conspiracies are more popular than ever, when fact-checking has never been easier. With a focus on the psychological and social motivations that attract people to conspiracies and other kinds of misinformation. Instead of looking at the supply of misinformation in the media, the panel will consider the media consumer’s demand for misinformation.
