Disability Support Services Supporting individuals with disabilities in having access to the universities programs & activities.

The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) provides and coordinates mandated support services, auxiliary aids, and accommodations for students with disabilities, which allow them to gain equal access to an education. This office also serves as a resource to the University community and promotes awareness so that these students can participate in all facets of University life. The University o

f Central Oklahoma complies with Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Students with disabilities who need special accommodations must make their requests by contacting Disability Support Services at (405) 974-2516 (V/TTY). Students are encouraged to notify the instructor of any DSS approved accommodations by the end of the first week of class. To request disability-related accommodations, please contact DSS. Remember, some accommodations require an extensive amount of time to fulfill (i.e. sign language interpreting, Braille, electronic text, and audio textbooks). Early notification is requested in order to ensure equal access to class materials in a timely manner.

Oklahoma State Fair is going strong—Sept 11‑21, 2025, at OKC Fair Park. It’s the perfect weekend to get out, soak up the sun, & enjoy fair fun with supports for everyone. 🌞

🔍 What’s Happening This Weekend

Tons of food: try new treats like Caramel Popcorn Pie, Birria Street Corn, Sweet Tea Chicken, Biscoff Horchata!

Live music every night on the Chickasaw Country Stage + fun shows across the park.

Rentals available: wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, wagons at Gate 2 (The Circle), just inside Gate 6, inside Gate 9. Advance reservations possible.

♿ Need‑To‑Know Accessibility Perks

Universal & accessible restroom “Momentum Refresh” open daily from 10 AM‑9 PM.

“Calming Space” in Arts Annex if you need a quieter, low‑stimulus break.

Priority rest stops: 5 spots across the grounds with benches & marked umbrellas.

Handicap parking near most gates—some paid ($15 + fees), some free.

Accessible seating in OG&E Coliseum + up to 3 companion tickets. Call box office to reserve.
