SIUE ANTHROPOLOGISTS WRITE BOOKS!!!
Dr. Sid Denny, who taught at SIUE Anthropology from around 1970 through 2000, left this world nearly two years ago, but that hasn't stopped him from publishing this book!

SIUE ANTHROPOLOGY TAKES A HIKE!!!
On Saturday Professor Julie Zimmermann led another Nature-Culture Hike at Cahokia Mounds, and it was a perfectly beautiful day. What a pleasant surprise to have some SIUE Anthropology alumni show up! One current student joined, and it's always great to have SIUE botanist Dr. Betsy Esselman along to help identify the plants we see. The next hike is scheduled by SIUE's HUB for Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 pm. We hope to see you there!

SIUE ANTHROPOLOGY WELCOMES JOHNNY MOSES!
Johnny Moses, Whis-stem-men-nee – Walking Medicine Robe (Nuu-chah-nulth and Coast Salish) is a master storyteller, traditionally trained memorizer, and longtime colleague and friend of Philosophy Department's Dr. Greg Fields. Johnny joined us on campus Sept. 12-16 to share stories and songs from the Northwest Coast, and to share his humor and wisdom. His visit was sponsored by SIUE's Kimmel Belonging and Engagement Hub, the Native American Studies Program, and the Departments of Anthropology, History, and Philosophy. All photos are by SIUE's Howard Ash. Johnny, come back soon!
