🎓 Iwakuni held its first Open House with staff and faculty taking the first step of connection and support to the military community. Our faculty sat down with active-duty Marines discussing and answering questions about their classes while staff demystified the college experience, career planning, and how to move toward achieving their goals.

One of our students, Xavier Jones, came in ready to be an asset for fellow Marines as he provided his experience and perspective as student in Okinawa and mainland Japan.

🎓 Meet Ashley Stephens.

What started with earning her GED became a journey across the globe.

Through multiple PCS moves from Korea to Italy and back to Korea, while growing her family to four, she stayed committed to her education. In 2024, she achieved a goal she once wasn't sure was possible, becoming a first-generation college graduate and earning her degree in History with a minor in East Asian Studies.
