We will assist you in applying evidenced based professional practice in medical-surgical, obstetric, pediatric, and mental health nursing. mitment to excellence is the expectation of the nursing profession, and as a student in the Butler Community College Nursing Program you are required to demonstrate this commitment throughout the educational process. The rigorous curriculum will require you to pay attention to detail, follow directions regarding assignments, and set aside an appropriate amount of time for reading, study, and comprehension of the complex material under study. As you progress through our nursing program, you will form wonderful relationships with classmates and faculty that will last a lifetime.

When LPN Advanced Standing student Hayley Campbell-Zirkel lost her El Dorado home to a fire, her nursing instincts kicked in — getting her family to safety and showing incredible strength in the face of the unexpected.

With classes starting the very next day, Hayley showed up determined to keep going — and thanks to the compassion of Butler Nursing faculty and the support of the community, she didn’t have to do it alone. From scrubs and supplies to encouragement and understanding, she was met with care every step of the way.

It’s more than a program — it’s a community that shows up. 💜
