Agricultural Apps and Software Survey in Kansas: Share Your Experience
April 21, 2026

Submitted by the research team on agricultural apps, Kansas State University

A team of K-State researchers is conducting a project funded by the Institute of Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics (ID3A) and the Kansas Water Institute (KWI) at Kansas State University, to study Kansas producers’ and professionals’ opinions on using agricultural apps.

In this survey, “agricultural apps” are defined as mobile or web-based apps/software used to manage crops, fields, soil, water or machinery through data (such as GPS, sensors, and drone or satellite imagery).

If you have used an agricultural app in farming, please enroll in the study to provide your insights.
If you have never used an agricultural app, please exit the study.
Participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. Your participation will help connect research with real-world agricultural practices in Kansas.

The consent form, approved by the Institutional Review Board at Kansas State University, can be accessed via the following Qualtrics link (or by scanning the QR code on your mobile device) and is immediately followed by the survey questions.

The form provides details about the purpose and procedures of the research. Please read and electronically sign the consent form in Qualtrics before proceeding to the survey.

Having a pond means that some effort will be needed to keep it in the best condition. One hot topic right now is identifying the aquaplants emerging in the ponds. These weather swings have not been helpful for our ponds. If you have questions, contact our office at (316) 321-9660 or register for our Pond Management workshop that will be on May 19th at: https://forms.gle/uX4Putpp8ao5Gbyq6
