We are hosting 3 voting centers for 2026 California Primary Elections 🗳️

Beginning today, May 30 through Election Day on June 2, LA County Residents can cast their ballots at one of our three schools:

📍Durfee School (12233 Star St. El Monte)

📍Jeff Seymour Family Center (10900 Mulhall, El Monte)

📍Rio Hondo School (11425 Wildflower, Arcadia)

Early voting is from May 30 - June 1, polls are open from 10am - 7pm

Election Day is June 2 with polls open from 7am - 8pm

At these centers, you can:
• Vote in person
• Register to Vote
• Drop off your Vote by Mail Ballot
• Use accessible voting equipment

Today, we got to celebrate our parent, family, and community volunteers who dedicate time to helping make our schools even more special ❤️

Community makes us stronger, and their dedication never goes unnoticed. Those we celebrated represent a small portion of all the volunteers we have across our district. To each and every one of you, we want to say THANK YOU!

We also want to thank our amazing Community Liaisons who are the bridge that link our families and community to our schools. They keep our relationships strong and we couldn’t do this without them ❤️

Chicken tostadas are great way to end a Monday 😋

Our SDC (Special Day Class) students at Gidley got their 3rd Culinary lesson of the Spring today, cooking up some tostadas! SDC is part of our special education program that features a self-contained classroom of students that may need more individualized support to ensure they succeed and grow academically.

We believe experiences and hands-on activities are valuable complements to learning and we’re thrilled we can bring them to all our students. Soon, these culinary stars will take their lessons on the road and visit the culinary academy for a lesson in a fully operational kitchen!
