EL PASO LAW SCHOOL INITIATIVE PUBLIC MEETING



The El Paso Law School Initiative will hold a meeting this coming Saturday, March 25, 2017 to continue with the discussion and the steps necessary to bring a law school to El Paso. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is welcomed. Please invite people you believe are interested in making this dream a reality.



Meetings are held the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Upcoming Meeting:

Invited Guest: Dr. Manuel de la Rosa



Our guest speaker will be Dr. Manuel de la Rosa, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. Dr. de la Rosa will share with us the challenges Texas Tech faced in bringing the medical school to El Paso. The realities of the legislative and political issues we may encounter. As you know, Texas State Senator Jose Rodriguez has already filed Senate Bill 437 and State Representative Lina Ortega filed House Bill 841, to bring a law school to El Paso.



All the dedicated El Pasoans who have worked so hard to bring a law school to El Paso are very appreciative Dr. de la Rosa has accepted our invitation and we look forward to his presentation

Dear All,
This week State Senator Jose Rodriguez’ office sent us the Legislative Bill establishing and funding a law school in El Paso El Paso. Also City Council passed a Resolution in support of the El Paso Law School Initiative’s effort to bring a law school to El Paso.
