UTEP’s Department of Creative Writing mourns the loss of former professor and chair Benjamin Allire Saenz.

Ben helped transform not only our bilingual MFA program, but the literary culture of our Twin Cities. He loved El Paso and UTEP deeply, and that love infused everything he did.
