Texas Tech Health El Paso Since 1973, our campus has focused on improving community health through education, research, and patient care—serving the diverse needs of our border region.

TTUHSC El Paso is the fourth university in the Texas Tech University System and is composed of four schools: the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine. TTUHSC El Paso is the first health sciences center along the U.S.-Mexico border and provides an environment for direct intellectual

🎉 In front of hundreds of friends and family members, 60 future dentists marked the beginning of their professional journeys as the Hunt School of Dental Medicine welcomed the Class of 2030 at its sixth White Coat Ceremony. 🦷

Among them are 16 El Pasoans, more than a quarter of the class, who now have the opportunity to pursue their dental education close to home and serve the community that helped shape them.

⚕️These future DMDs begin their journeys at a critical time, as communities across Texas, particularly in West Texas and along the border, continue to face a need for greater access to oral health care. With areas of El Paso County federally designated as dental health professional shortage areas, our school remains committed to preparing future dentists who understand and can help address the oral health needs of our region. 🩶
