🎉 Congratulations to David Nava on successfully defending his Master’s thesis!

David completed both his undergraduate and Master’s work in Dr. Jang’s lab, where he has contributed to research over the past two years. His next journey will take him to the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he will begin a fully funded PhD program.

Congratulations, David! This is well deserved, and we wish you the very best of luck in this exciting next chapter! 👏

The shoulder: one of the most mobile (and problematic 😅) joints in human movement… but definitely the most fun to learn hands-on!

Proud of the MiNER Lab team led by Dr. Bajpeyi for an outstanding showing at the Rio Grande Physiological Society 2026 Meeting 👏

Jehu Apaflo (Postdoctoral Fellow) and Joshua Labadah (PhD Student, UTEP Interdisciplinary Health Sciences PhD Program) were selected as finalists and delivered excellent oral presentations.

Jehu earned 2nd place overall 🥈 — a strong recognition of the quality and impact of his work.

A great reflection of the rigor, dedication, and collaboration within the lab. Proud to see our team representing MiNER Lab at such a high level 💪
