Hello everyone,

This is a reminder that tomorrow THURSDAY DECEMBER 3, we will be presenting in three tables at the Pebble Hills STEAM Night. We require everyone to go since we will be presenting in 3 different tables. This event will be very crowded with whole families present. This is an event of the highest importance, and the reputation of UTEP“s Chemistry department will be held to very high expectations this time.

The event formally starts at 4 PM and runs all the way until around 8 PM. Dr. Narayan will be able to take some of us, however, if you have a car, we would highly appreciate it if you could give other members a ride. Food will be provided at the event for everyone. Jacob and Luis will be leaving with Dr. Narayan at around 2 at latest, and we would highly recommend you do so as well because the drive can take an hour depending on traffic. We will be arriving approximately an hour earlier to set up our tables. We will assign you a specific experiment once we set up our tables.

Attached is the link to the google maps view of the address for those of you who do not know where Pebble Hills High is.

Thank you in advance for your time, and we will see you all tomorrow.

Hello everyone,

Hopefully you are all doing well. This email is to notify you of a MANDATORY Training session this upcoming Saturday November 28. In this session we will train you to perform every circus experiment in our repertoire, and will highly focus in training you on how to perform and explain the experiments in line for the upcoming chemistry circus at Pebble Hills High School.

This Chemistry Circus at Pebble Hills on Thursday December 3rd is mandatory and of the highest importance. Dr. Narayan has contributed immensely for this to occur and the place will be packed with people interested. The event is a Science (STEM) night where we will most likely have at least 3 tables to perform experiments. However, our reputation has been of such transcendence that the faculty from Pebble Hills High School have also asked us to perform a "Grand Finale" demonstration for the whole event. Furthermore, this is perhaps the most important opportunity we have had so far this semester to engage in the El Paso community due to the amount of people that will attend the event (Dr. Narayan and Luis already visited the school, and the event will be huge).

Again, this Saturday November 28 we will have the MANDATORY training session to make sure that all of you can effectively perform and explain all of the experiments for the circus, and it is mandatory. The meeting time will be at 12:00 PM (noon) at CCSB. 2.0514 (Dr. Villagran's Lab).

Thank you for your time, and share this with all your friends and on social media if they are interested. It is never too late to join and we will train them too if they show up and are interested in circuses.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello ACS!

This Friday, October 23, we invite you all to celebrate Mole Day and the culmination of National Chemistry Week. The scheduled events are a fun demonstration by Dr. Dale Alexander, and a very special issue of our famous Chemistry Circus demonstrations.

This event will be held at the Classroom Building (In between Engineering and Physical Sciences) Room 305 from 11:30 to 2:00 PM.
We would also like to express our gratitude to all those who have supported us and attended our events so far. Many more exciting events and opportunities await us in this upcoming academic year.

Thank you.

Good Morning BSA!

Chemistry Week is finally upon us, and to start it off we visited the General Chemistry workshops to make our own Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells, or as we like to call it "Juice from Juice". If you could not join us yesterday, don't worry, there are still many exciting plans for the week. In the attached flyer (which you can also find around campus) we have listed the events lined up for each day. We hope to see at each event, and remember to bring your friends and share our page
(https://www.facebook.com/BiochemistryStudentAssociation).

Today marks the start of the vial hunt, so if you are a General Chemistry I student be on the lookout for vials with colored caps throughout the Chemistry and Computer Science Building (CCSB).

Attached is the flyer with all the planned events for this week.

Have an awesome week and we hope to see you at all the events.

Hello BSA!

In case you did not get the email, tomorrow's meeting, and all meetings, will take place at 5:00 PM 115 (ground floor auditorium).

I apologize for sending this reminder this late, but we were having some problems nailing down the room and time. Regardless, the problem was fixed.

We highly encourage you to come to tomorrow's meeting and to bring your friends too (If the awesomeness of BSA doesn't convince them, then tell them there will be free pizza and soda). The reason for this is because, along with the ACS-Student Members, we will be discussing the plans for National Chemistry Week. We would also like your feedback, since we're still in time to change or improve some of the planned activities.

If you have your membership dues, we are currently accepting them for the 2015-2016 term. The due is $20, and you can pay $25 to receive a BSA t-shirt (non-member price: $10).

I wish you all the best for this upcoming week and hope to see you all at the meeting!

-Luis
