Today is World ESP Day! The 2026 theme is focused on gender justice.

Education support professionals do essential work. They are mostly women. And they get unequal pay. We also know education support professionals can be the targets of violence when working with students with behavioral challenges.

Workers rights and gender equality are intertwined. We will continue to advocate for a living wage, equitable pensions, good working conditions and safety for ALL ESPs to build stronger schools for ALL students.
