Happy , Blue Jays! 🌈

The campus community celebrated Pride a little early with the annual Etown Does Pride in April, which was held before most students departed for summer break.

Etown Does Pride featured a month-long series of events and workshops honoring the resilience and contributions of LGBTQ+ communities while fostering education, healing, solidarity, and connection.

The Elizabethtown College Honors Program recently named Dr. Robert Northington, Assistant Professor of Biology and Environmental Science, as the recipient of the 2025-26 Outstanding Honors Professor Award!

Since joining the College in 2023, Northington has expanded learning opportunities beyond the classroom as advisor to Etown’s Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society chapter.

The Honors Council, a student-led governing body for the program, noted Northington’s ability to cultivate an engaging classroom environment in which students feel inspired to participate in meaningful discussion and raise thoughtful questions.

“I am humbled and honored to receive the Outstanding Honors Professor Award this year,” Northington said. “I always strive to provide every student I teach with meaningful learning experiences, but I applaud the willingness of my Honors students this year to challenge themselves beyond the classroom.”

We're thrilled to announce a partnership with the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) to offer a 15% discount on tuition to all CCAP employees and members, as well as their spouses and dependents, who are interested in enhancing their skills and professional development.

“The County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania is pleased to partner with Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies to provide a wide range of educational opportunities for our staff, members, and their families,” Kyle Kopko ’05, an Etown alumnus and Executive Director at County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, said. “Etown’s motto, Educate for Service, deeply resonates with all of us at CCAP. Since 1886, CCAP has served as the unified voice of Pennsylvania’s counties. We firmly believe that this partnership will strengthen CCAP, allowing staff and members to advance their education and career goals in support of, and in service to, Pennsylvania’s 13 million residents.”

The CCAP represents the elected officials of each of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties, providing leaders with information and guidance on legislation, education, media, insurance, technology, and many other issues that help create and maintain crucial services for residents throughout the state.
