Here is some important information about some of the updated topics on the Home and Garden Information Center website.

📣 Announcement! 🥳

We have done some spring clean up of our lawn care resources! Over three dozen pages have been consolidated into just over a dozen updated, image-rich guides. You can access these comprehensive materials, including sustainable management tips and alternative ground cover options by visiting the "Lawns for the Maryland Home Landscape" webpage [go.umd.edu/lawn].

Updates Include:
Consolidated Content -The web pages have been revised to provide more detail and high-quality images while reducing the total number of pages for easier navigation.
Lawn Alternatives - Resources now include extensive information on Lawn Alternatives to help reduce carbon footprints and support local wildlife.
Sustainable Management - For areas where turfgrass is necessary, the new guides offer advice on how to manage it sustainably to ensure it remains a durable and healthy groundcover.

Have questions about your lawn or landscape? Send them to the experts at the Home & Garden Information Center: go.umd.edu/AskExtension
