We were excited to welcome Cooper, a South Jones High School senior, and his SJH Career Coach to tour our Welding program at Jones Workforce College!

The student is interested in pursuing a career in welding and had the opportunity to learn more about the training, certifications, and career opportunities available in this high-demand field.

Jones Workforce College offers a 16-week Welding program designed to help individuals gain the hands-on skills and industry-recognized certifications needed to enter the workforce with confidence.

Our Welding Department at Jones Workforce College was proud to work alongside Laurel Main Street and Michael McKinnon Architecture to build a new, sturdier metal frame system for Trustmark Art Park in Downtown Laurel.

This beautiful park welcomes thousands of visitors each year, and we are proud that our students had the opportunity to play a role in bringing this project to life!

Thinking about a career in Electrical Technology? ⚡

Last week, with the help of our local SJH Career Coach, we had the opportunity to welcome a South Jones High School student to the ATC for a tour of our Electrical Technology program and a look at the hands-on training opportunities available.

High school students who are interested in the Electrical Technology CTE program can get a head start by enrolling in our non-credit Basic Wiring class. This course provides valuable hands-on experience and allows students to explore the electrical field before graduation. It's a great way to discover career opportunities, build practical skills, and see if a future in electrical technology is right for you.
