Here is a brief summary of what we discussed at our meeting today...
Dues are due by November 6th
-$25 per semester
-$45 for the year
Requirements to be an active AED member
-Attend three meetings per semester
-Attend three outside events per semester
Events for this semester are:
-Health Professions Fair on October 16th from 11:00-1:00 p.m.
-Writing a Personal Statement that Sells on November 1st from 11:30-12:30 p.m.
-What to do with a Gap Year on November 15th from 11:30-12:30 p.m.
-Recommendation Committee Process on December 6th from 11:30-12:30 p.m.
-Ronald McDonald House...TBA
-Blood Drive...TBA
If you are interested in becoming a national member of AED, be sure to fill out a form at the next meeting on November 6th. Requirements to be a national member are:
-3.2 cumulative GPA
-National membership fee
-Three semesters completed of pre-health courses
-Applications will be due next semester
Also, it is imperative that every AED member fill out the form that has been attached to this link:
