Founded in 1871, Elmhurst is a comprehensive university offering more than 70 undergraduate majors, 15 graduate programs wide array of evening and online programs for adults. Our 3,500 students learn in small classes with faculty experts who are deeply invested in their success. Just a 30-minute train ride from downtown Chicago, our beautiful arboretum campus offers students a home away from home

The Elmhurst University Summer Band is bringing a piece of music history to campus. On June 24, audiences can experience a re-creation of a John Philip Sousa concert, complete with period costumes, patriotic favorites, audience sing-alongs and a finale featuring Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. 🔬 Elmhurst University Biochemistry major Hannah Cardenas ’27 is heading to the University of Texas at Dallas this summer after earning a competitive National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates award. She'll spend 10 weeks conducting chemistry research, building new skills and sharing her work with fellow researchers. Read more in our latest story.

Elmhurst University biochemistry major Hannah Cardenas ’27, of Des Plaines, Illinois, received a National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU) award to participate in a 10-week summer research internship at the University of Texas at Dallas.

🎯 Marketing major Joseph Liebrandt ’27 took first place at the Spring 2026 Bluejay Tank competition, inspired by the TV show Shark Tank, for Recruit Match, an app built to help high school athletes connect directly with college coaches.

The Bluejay football player earned $4,000 for his pitch and plans to use the platform in his future coaching career. Read more in our latest story below!
