Last week, Carol submitted a photo of our library director for a GTL socials post without her photo approval. This week, as turnaround, Carol allowed the staff to select one of her unflattering photos to teach her a lesson. It is safe to say, she won't make that mistake again.

Over the next two weeks our lobby displays will be refreshed! Katy and Carol will be working with Professor Jan Kather on her yearly Consitution Day exhibit using student artwork for our lobby's counter display. The standing displays will hold a Callisophia exhibit in anticipation of the club's 2026 magazine publication launch party on Friday, September 18. Katy, our Technical Services & Archives Collections Manager, will curate memorabilia from The Callisophia Society files and the club's present publication items. And, lastly, Reilly Stedge '27 will be curating a display titled, "A Swedish Prince in Mark Twain’s Court." Reilly has a passion for history and, in addition to the many hats this busy student wears on campus, he serves on the Council Board of Bethany Lutheran Church of Elmira. As part of his Elmira College Community Engagement requirement, he compiled the church's archival records, from the past several decades, to produce a hardcover publication. He then provided each member of the church with their own hardcover copy.

We can't wait to reveal these displays!

WE NEED THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY'S HELP! Today is our Director of the Library's first day back after a nice, long vacation. When you're going by the Library Services Desk yell, "Welcome back, Marge!" She will LOVE it! Also, if she asks whose idea it was, tell her it was Katy's. Or Jessa's. But DEFINITELY NOT Carol's.

Hello, Elmira College Soaring Eagles and LECOM Students: Many of you have asked for it... We are now open until MIDNIGHT Sunday - Thursday nights. It is a trial run for Term I and then we will evaluate at the end of term whether this extra hour was utilized by students before continuing for Term II & III. In addition, it also means we will be open until 1:00AM during Finals Prep Week and Finals Week. Our Access Services Manager, Carol Perry-Stringham, is looking forward to seeing those student night owls take advantage of that extra hour.
