Our department offers history, one of the top-ten majors pursued at Elon University, as well as minors in history and geography. Our faculty consists of scholar-mentors who work closely with students in the classroom, on research projects and through internships. We are actively involved in Elon’s study abroad programs and interdisciplinary programs including American studies, African/African-Amer
ican studies, Asian studies, classical studies, general studies, international studies, Latin American studies and women’s/gender studies. Our courses emphasize research, writing and critical thinking skills preparing students for a wide range of careers and graduate programs.
