Meet Adrienne L. Aquilar

We recently stopped by to visit Adrienne, Associate Director of the Computer Science & Engineering Partnership Program with the College of Engineering. The program is recognized as one Ohio's top engineering pathways, providing students with outstanding opportunities for academic and career success.

A proud LCCC alumna, Adrienne earned her Associate of Arts in Psychology and Spanish before spending 13 years serving students at LCCC. Since joining the University of Toledo team in 2001, she has continued her passion for helping students navigate their educational journeys. With strong ties to Lorain County, Adrienne is dedicated to supporting local students every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who braved the heat and joined us at the All Campus Cookout last week! ⛲️🌭

🌅The temperatures were high but seeing so many smiling faces gave us all the warm fuzzies. It was wonderful to watch students connect with our partner school representatives, test their knowledge during trivia, and win some great prizes along the way.

We appreciate everyone who helped make the event such a success. Here is a small sample of photos capturing the fun, connections, and memories from the day!

Students! Be sure to check in at the University Partnership (UP) table to receive your ticket for FREE cotton candy at the NO Trick to Transfer Fair on September 29 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

There will be the following flavors to choose from: Pink Vanilla, Blue Raspberry, Green Apple, Birthday Cake, Grape, and Orange- while supplies last.

You will also get a passport to get stamped when visiting representatives from our guest colleges and universities. Stamps will earn you prizes like Halloween goodies, "Squishmallows," an entry to win a large T.V., and more.

If the weather is "boo-tiful," we will be in the Courtyard.
If the weather is frightening, we will be inside College Center.

Sarah Cuson, our newest UP team member, is currently pursuing a Master's in Social Work at John Carroll University. She created several resources using Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to illustrate how obtaining a bachelor's degree will improve many areas of your life.

The UP can help you start your journey to a bachelors degree and beyond.

Congratulations to Julia who won "Jenny" the java Squishmallow by guessing the closest amount of coffee beans/UP graduates since 2021.

Julia guessed 1,500 and the actual number is 1,591.
