Waterbury's Dave Wallace was honored with a Gold Key at Sunday's dinner hosted by the Connecticut Sports Media Alliance. At the age of 79, he is still involved in baseball as a pitching consultant with the Kansas City Royals. But he took time to come home to Connecticut for the Gold Key ceremonies.

Wallace was the pitching coach for the Mets in the 2000 World Series and for the Red Sox in the 2004 World Series.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – James Jones, the Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach of Men's Basketball, was a recipient of the prestigious Gold Key Award, and received the honor at the 83rd Gold Key banquet which took place at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington on Sunday, May 17.
