Congratulations to Najahlise Rodriguez-McCullum, Collegiate Academy and EC3 dual enrollment student, who was one of nine recipients of the C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leaders Award for the 2025-26 school year!

Tonight we celebrated those nine stellar students with a banquet and award ceremony. Congratulations to all of this year's recipients, especially recent graduate of the Union City School District, Nikaylin Higley, who was chosen as this school year's Distinguished Scholar.

EC3 is a proud sponsor of the C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader Award, which is presented monthly to high school juniors and seniors who excel in school, extra-curriculars, and volunteerism, as well as exemplify leadership and strong character.

EC3 has been approved to award Pell Grants and offer Federal Work-Study through the Title IV student aid program on behalf of the Department of Education. This program was designed to help students pay for their education through Pell Grants and work-study opportunities.

Because Pell Grants require no repayment responsibilities, students can accept financial support without the concern for how to pay it back. Work study options allow students to gain valuable job skills, have work schedules that are conducive to being in school, and earn additional money to help support their education while being active on campus.

"EC3 was built on the promise of access and affordability to all, and Title IV funding ensures that for so many residents of Erie County," said Chris Gray, Ph.D., EC3 President.

What a great night at Erie SeaWolves! LilyAnne Larson kicked off by representing our EC3 class of 2026 by throwing a ceremonial strike, Johnny Kocur belting out the national anthem, the SeaWolves winning an exciting game, and the fireworks show was spectacular.

Thank you to our students and staff who attended, and volunteers who worked the event. A special shout out to America250PA Erie County who was a partner in this event.
