---
On Sept. 2, 2026 -- NASA CSBF launched a 11 million cubic-ft of Helium-filled gigantic balloon carrying the HASP onto 120,000 ft altitude (near space). Gannon team showed up on site at 3am, MDT (NO problem to get up that early!).

During Aug. 26-Sept. 3, 2026, two students from Gannon ECE (Isaiah and Roger) along with Dr. Lee prepared their HASP2026 payload, integrated into the HASP, and successfully conducted experiments while the HASP was in flight. All four objects of the project were achieved!

--
During July 20-24, 2026, three students (one senior and two sophomores) from Gannon ECE participated in a thermal & vacuum testing of near-space ballooning payloads at NASA’s CSBF laboratory in Palestine, TX. There were 16 college teams from across the nation and from Canada.

Our payload in the "Large Payload" category passed the 8-hour T&V test and got approved Ready for Flight in early Sept., 2026 at CSBF's flight launch base in Ft. Sumner, NM.
