Happy Father's Day from all of us at Erie Institute of Technology!

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who lead by example, offer encouragement, and help shape the futures of those around them.

Many of the values that contribute to success in the classroom, on the job, and in life are often first learned from those who guide us along the way: hard work, perseverance, integrity, and the importance of showing up when it matters most.

To all of the dads within the EIT community and beyond, thank you for your support, sacrifice, wisdom, and unwavering belief in those you love.

We wish you a wonderful Father's Day surrounded by family, appreciation, and the people who matter most.

But what we’re often looking for can’t be found, it must be built.

One decision.
One skill.
One lesson.
One step forward at a time.

The future version of yourself isn't as far away as you think. Sometimes it begins with simply deciding to start.

When people think about careers in the skilled trades, they don’t always picture the incredible diversity of individuals pursuing them today.

Students like Millie are helping change that perception.

As she continues to develop her welding skills at Erie Institute of Technology, she’s a reminder that passion, determination, and talent can take you far, regardless of the path you choose.

The skilled trades offer countless opportunities to build, create, solve problems, and make a meaningful impact. At EIT, students from all backgrounds have the opportunity to explore those possibilities and discover careers that align with their interests, strengths, and goals.

We’re proud to celebrate students like Millie who are pursuing their passions and helping shape the future of the trades!

June is National Safety Month, a time to recognize the important role safety plays in every industry, every workplace, and every skilled trade.

At Erie Institute of Technology, safety is more than a requirement. It's a mindset that students develop from day one.

Whether working in a lab, a shop, or a future job site, understanding how to work safely helps protect not only yourself, but the people around you. It builds confidence, professionalism, and the habits that employers value most.

The skills our students learn today are designed to serve them throughout their careers, and few skills are more important than knowing how to work safely and responsibly.

Most of us don’t spend much time thinking about the countless components that make modern life possible.

The parts found within vehicles, aircraft, medical equipment, manufacturing systems, and so many other technologies all begin with precision, skill, and a commitment to getting every detail right.

That’s where machinists come in.

In Erie Institute of Technology’s CNC Machinist Program, students learn how to transform raw materials into precise, functional components while developing the problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and technical skills that define the trade.

This project may seem simple, but it represents something much bigger. Every measurement, every cut, and every lesson helps build the foundation for a career that plays an important role across countless industries.

Because behind many of the things that keep our world moving, you’ll find the work of a skilled machinist.

Education is most impactful when it extends beyond the classroom.

Through EIT’s ongoing partnership with the Community Blood Bank, our Phlebotomy Technician students have the opportunity to participate in on-campus blood drives that support both their clinical training and an important community need.

These experiences allow students to further develop their technical skills, professionalism, and confidence while working with real donors in a supervised environment. At the same time, they help contribute to a lifesaving resource that benefits patients throughout our region.

We’re proud to provide learning opportunities that combine hands-on experience with meaningful community involvement, helping students prepare for rewarding careers while making a difference along the way.

A special thank you to the Community Blood Bank for their continued partnership and support of our students!

At Erie Institute of Technology, we believe a great learning experience is about more than classrooms, labs, and hands-on training. It's about building a community where students feel welcomed, supported, and valued.

That's why we're excited to introduce Mocha Monday ☕💙

A simple (and free!) coffee and tea bar for our students to help start their week with a little extra energy, a warm drink, and a reminder that they're part of a community that cares about their success.

While it may seem like a small gesture, it's one of the many ways we strive to make EIT feel like more than a school. We want it to feel like a place where students can grow, connect, and enjoy the journey as they work toward their goals.

Here's to a great week ahead and a fresh cup to help get it started!

This bulletin board tells a story we're always proud to share.

Each name, photo, and employer represents a student who made the decision to invest in themselves, commit to learning a trade, and pursue a future they believed was possible.

Today, many of these graduates are putting their skills to work in careers they worked hard to achieve, taking the knowledge, experience, and confidence they gained at Erie Institute of Technology into the workforce and making their mark.

We're incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and grateful to play a part in their journey. Their success serves as a reminder that with dedication, perseverance, and the courage to take that first step, great things can happen.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and best wishes as you continue building bright futures!

One of the most rewarding parts of an education at Erie Institute of Technology is seeing students apply their skills in meaningful ways beyond the classroom.

Our Web Design & Social Media Marketing students are currently collaborating with a local community favorite, New York Lunch, on an exciting rebrand and packaging design project aimed at breathing new life into the look of their products while supporting important business goals.

Projects like these give students the opportunity to experience what it's like to work with real clients, solve real challenges, and see firsthand how their creativity, strategy, and technical skills can make a lasting impact.

Because some of the best lessons happen when education and community come together.
