Many international students choose Mercyhurst University for the chance to compete at the Division I level. With 30 varsity sports, there’s a place for every athlete to shine!

Some of the most popular sports for international students include lacrosse, soccer, ice hockey, water polo, rowing, tennis, field hockey, basketball, football, and golf.

It’s an eerie day on campus and perfect for Halloween!

Halloween is a fun and festive holiday celebrated every year on October 31st! People dress up in costumes, decorate with pumpkins and spooky themes, and enjoy sweet treats like candy!

You might see children going trick-or-treating, where they visit houses in their neighborhood and say “trick or treat!” to receive candy. Adults often join the fun with costume parties, haunted houses, or movie nights featuring friendly frights.

Whether you’re celebrating for the first time or just enjoying the atmosphere, we wish you a safe and happy Halloween!

Each year, Mercyhurst University celebrates the Mass of the Holy Spirit, a cherished Catholic tradition that calls upon the Holy Spirit for guidance, wisdom, and inspiration for students, faculty, and staff. This meaningful ritual marks the start of the academic year and invites our community to begin with intention and reflection.

Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1926, Mercyhurst is a Catholic liberal arts university that welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds.

If this is your first time experiencing fall, get ready for crisp mornings, colorful leaves, and all the cozy vibes that come with the season. Campus will soon be glowing in shades of red, orange, and gold & it’s the perfect time for walks, photos, and pumpkin-spiced everything.
