🎺 What’s the Best Part of Jazz Camp? (There’s something for everyone!) 🎷🥁

If you ask 10 different people what the highlight of Reggie Schive Jazz Camp is, you’ll get 10 different answers! As we prepare for our 45th Year in Estherville from June 14–18, the excitement is building for all the unique moments that make this week special. 🌟

Here is what different members of the Iowa Lakes jazz family say is the absolute best part of the experience:

🎷 For the Students: Finding Your Voice 🎤
It’s that "aha!" moment in a small combo rehearsal. Students love the transition from feeling nervous about a solo on Monday to playing with total confidence by Friday. It’s about discovering a sound that is uniquely yours.

🎺 For the Parents: Watching the Transformation 🌟
There is nothing quite like the pride of the "Friday Finale" concert. Seeing a student stand a little taller and play with newfound skill after just five days is a transformation that stays with the whole family long after camp ends.

🎹 For the Faculty: Passing the Torch 🎓
Our professional mentors, The Headliners, love the time spent outside the music stand. Whether it's a question about gear at lunch or a breakthrough in a masterclass, they live for the chance to inspire the next generation of jazz greats.

🥁 For the Community: The 45-Year Legacy 🤝
For everyone involved, the best part is the connection. It’s being part of a tradition that has turned Estherville into a jazz hub for nearly half a century. It’s the friendships made between notes and the shared love for the swing.

🕒 WHAT WILL YOUR BEST PART BE?
Chairs are filling up fast for our 45th Year! Don't miss out on the rehearsals, the masterclasses, and the nightly concerts that make this week legendary.
