The University of Oregon's Master of Nonprofit Management (MNM) program grew organically from a preexisting and widely renowned Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management program. Responding to the rapidly developing nonprofit sector and the need for practical, focused talent to run it, the Master of Nonprofit Management program prepares students for a career in a sector entirely unique from bot

h public service and business careers. The curriculum boasts practical, real world experiences taught by professors who have years of experience in the nonprofit field. Several of the program's unique features include:
• Rigorous coursework that addresses the unique environment within the nonprofit sector.
• A Board Fellows program in which students serve on a nonprofit Board of Directors.
• Experiential, project-based and service-learning components to give students a comprehensive and realistic understanding of their future career.
• An emphasis on capstone projects over theses, designed to test students' knowledge against against existing nonprofit organizations and the challenges that they face.
