Today, we honor the vision, courage, and sisterhood of the Twenty Pearls who founded Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® on January 15, 1908. Their commitment to scholarship, service, and uplifting humanity laid the foundation for generations of women dedicated to leadership, advocacy, and community impact. Founders’ Day is not only a celebration of history, but a reminder of the responsibility we carry to continue their work with excellence, integrity, and purpose.
