ip with schools and colleges, GSI encourages interdisciplinary and cross-regional research, curriculum development, and community outreach. Where there are silos, we dig tunnels to open passageways for new partnership and collaboration. GSI always strives to make the whole of internationally-oriented activities on campus greater than the sum of the parts. GSI pursues a vigorous program of fundraising and grant writing to seed and sustain global projects with the greatest impact on faculty recruitment/retention and student success. GSI aggressively promotes expanded student access to the transformative power of study and internships abroad. GSI achieves economies of scale and efficiencies in international work by pooling resources and sharing staff among internationally oriented, centers, programs and initiatives.
