🌟 Student Spotlight: Juliana Culbertson 🌟

The LSUE Student Sonography Society is proud to spotlight Juliana Culbertson of Opelousas, Louisiana!

Juliana's interest in the medical field has been a longstanding one, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in diagnostic medical sonography. Her passion for the profession was further inspired by her own experiences during pregnancy and the ultrasounds she received while expecting her daughter, who is now two years old.

Throughout her time in the program, Juliana has developed a particular interest in abdominal and general sonography, appreciating the wide variety of examinations and opportunities these specialties provide. As an active member of the LSUE Student Sonography Society, she has embraced every opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while building lasting relationships with her classmates and mentors.

Juliana is incredibly grateful for the experiences and knowledge she has gained through the LSUE Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and is excited to begin the next chapter of her journey as a professional sonographer. Recently, she achieved another major milestone by successfully passing her ARDMS Abdomen Registry examination on her first attempt—a reflection of her dedication and hard work.

We are thrilled to share that five of our Student Sonography Society members have officially taken and passed their ARDMS Abdomen Registry on their first attempt! ✨

Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance have truly paid off. We are so proud of this incredible accomplishment and can't wait to see all they achieve in their sonography careers.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Natalie 🌟

Natalie is from Lone Pine, Louisiana, and is a proud mother of three and "Nat" to her three grandchildren. After many years in education and following the loss of her husband of 25 years, she made the courageous decision to pursue a new career in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Natalie loves the patient interaction that sonography provides and values the opportunity to combine compassion, patient care, and medical science in a meaningful profession. She is especially interested in breast imaging and sonographic procedures, appreciating the precision involved and the ability to play a direct role in patient care and early detection.

In addition to her studies and clinical training, Natalie serves as the Treasurer of the LSUE Student Sonography Society, supporting engagement and leadership among her peers.

We are proud to have Natalie as a member of the LSUE Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and look forward to the impact she will make in the field!💜💛🐅

🌟 This Weeks Student Spotlight: Hannah Cordes 🌟

Hannah Cordes is from Abbeville, Louisiana, and is currently serving as the Student Sonography Society President. This year, she was also recognized as an SDMS Emerging Leader, highlighting her dedication to the sonography profession and her leadership within the student community.

Hannah and her husband have been married for three years and share their home with three fun-loving cats. Her passion for sonography grew from previous jobs where she discovered how much she enjoys building meaningful connections with people. She was drawn to ultrasound because it combines patient interaction with the ability to provide valuable diagnostic imaging.

While Hannah finds it difficult to choose a favorite specialty within sonography, working with children has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her training. She finds fulfillment in helping pediatric patients and their families while striving to provide the highest level of care and excellence as a future sonographer.

Congratulations, Hannah, on your accomplishments and leadership. We are proud to have you represent our program!💜💛🐅
