The Acadia Parish Police Jury is now accepting applications for a Receptionist.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Daily Mail run — open, date, stamp, and distribute the mail to the correct departments
• Daily cash logs
• Maintain files for insurance certificates, W-9s, contracts, ordinances, franchise, litigation, intergovernmental agreements, fire protection districts, various committees
• Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting and directing them appropriately
• Create monthly calendars
• Print Jury Duty checks
• Create permits for wrecker service, ambulance and also alcohol permits
• Back up for accounts payable
• Performs miscellaneous job duties as needed
Applicant should have skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. The ability to operate standard office equipment, work with frequent interruptions, maintain confidentiality.
