The Books and Breakfast program is looking to add Tutors for 2024-2025 academic year. We are looking to hire Northwestern undergraduate tutors at an assigned Evanston School. Come and help elementary kids with their homework and support students socially and emotionally. We would love to have you on board 🥰

Sign up to volunteer for middle school AVID field trips at Northwestern!

The purpose of the District 65 AVID (college readiness program) field trip is for 6th and 7th graders to get a sense of what it feels like to be on a college campus and to get them excited about campus life and career paths!

We are looking for volunteers to accompany the students (with school chaperones) who will enhance the experience by giving the students the college perspective. This will involve chatting with them about college, walking around campus, and supporting the group!

If you can’t make the full-time commitment, but are interested in coming, please let us know what your availability is in the notes section at the bottom of the form!

Please share this volunteer opportunity with anyone else you know that would be well-suited to this program. Norris lunch vouchers will be provided as a way of saying THANK YOU!

April 26th – Haven Middle School (6th Grade Campus Life Tour) — 10:00am-12:30pm
May 7th – Haven Middle School (7th Grade Career Path Tour + Q&A) — 11:45am-2:00pm
May 8th – Chute Middle School (6th Grade Campus Life Tour + 7th Grade Career Path Tour + Q&A) — 10am-1pm
May 15th – King Arts Magnet School (6th Grade Campus Life Tour) — 10am-12pm
May 17th – Nichols Middle School (6th Grade Campus Life Tour) — 10am-1pm

Have you heard the good news? Downtown Evanston is partnering with the Evanston Transit Alliance Page and Family Biking/Evanston Kidical Mass to host Evanston Rides! From May through October, we're bringing you two fantastic series of monthly bike rides that promise fun, fitness, and a whole lot of community spirit!

The adult rides will be led by Evanston Transit Alliance, and the family rides will be led by Chicago Family Biking/Evanston Kidical Mass. All rides are free, but please register at the link below for any dates that you plan to ride!
