NU in Chicago

NU in Chicago NU in Chicago is a campus-wide effort to better connect NU students to Chicago-area civic resources

NU in Chicago is a series of campus-wide events that provide hundreds of students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in Chicago neighborhoods for a day of exploration and engaged learning. Groups of students explore a wide variety of themes ranging from Arts in Chicago to Chicago’s Global Neighborhoods. Every September, NU in Chicago kicks off the school year with a Neighborhood Exploration

Day where students can choose different specialized tracks when they sign up. Throughout the year, NU in Chicago hosts smaller days focusing on different civic issues and themes in Chicago. Facilitated by Northwestern faculty, staff, alumni, and student leaders, these experiential field experiences will enable students to explore key cultural attractions, historic sites, and diverse neighborhoods in an effort to better understand this dynamic city. All NU in Chicago events (including transportation, any admission fees, and food) are free for Northwestern students.
