Northwestern University Alpha Phi Alpha Phi, Beta Chapter at Northwestern University Beta Chapter is proud to boast over 130 wonderful active members and so many inspiring alumnae.

Founded in 1881, the Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Fraternity is Northwestern’s first sorority and the second chapter of Alpha Phi nationwide. Alpha Phi is deeply rooted in the history of Northwestern University; Scott Hall, Annie Mae Swift Hall, Willard Hall, and Patten Gym all are named for influential members of Alpha Phi. All Beta members promote sisterhood, scholarship, service, and leadership. F

“Before I came to NU, I had no idea if I would even rush a sorority but Im so happy to say that I made the right choice by joining one. When I walked into Aphi for the first time during rush, the atmosphere felt so positive and supportive, and I knew that I wanted to be part of the sisterhood the girls had created. I feel very lucky to have found such a special place and can’t wait to live in the house next year and form stronger bonds with everyone!”

On May 2, the Beta Chapter hosted our annual Red Dress Gala, raising the most our chapter ever has, over $24,000 for Women’s Heart Health research through the Alpha Phi foundation. This tradition is incredibly important to our chapter and we are so proud of the incredible women who have put in so much work this past week. Thank you to our lovely VP of Philanthropy who helped lead such special events for a great cause.
