HOMECOMING TAILGATE INFO:

All alumni & family welcome to the PIKE Gamma Rho homecoming tailgate on Saturday October 13th. We will begin at 8am for the 11am kickoff against Nebraska. The tailgate will be in the northeast corner of the West Lot (corner of Ashland & Isabella). Look for the purple van! There will be beer/wine/booze as well as breakfast sandwiches/burritos. Please bring $20 if you would like to partake!

Gamma Rho Alumnus Alan Weiss ('70), while a news producer for WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News in New York, fate landed him in the hospital after a motorcycle accident… just minutes before John Lennon was rushed in.

A movie recounting the events of that evening has just been released. It’s called “The Lennon Report.”

Part of the storyline revolves around Alan's experiences in helping to break the story by getting the news to Howard Cosell who passed on the info during Monday Night Football.

Alan, a six-time Emmy winner, will be in Evanston on January 27th to host a Q&A following a screening of the film at 10am and will also be at the PIKE House for dinner. All local alumni are welcome to attend - please RVSP to [email protected] if you plan on eating so we don't run out of food!

Gamma Rho's most successful International Work Day yet!! The Chapter replaced a desk in the conference room with a new dual-monitor workstation (w/ printer), mulched & planted flowers around the house, built two convertible benches/picnic tables, and enjoyed an awesome pig roast provided by Chef Eddie!
