Northwestern University Color Guard Welcome to the Northwestern University Wildcat Marching Band's Color Guard section!

The Northwestern University Color Guard marches with NUMB (the Northwestern University Marching Band), incorporating flag work with marching to add colorful visual effects to NUMB’s halftime show. In salute to our rivals and the great traditions of NUMB, the color guard presents the Big Ten Conference flags during every pregame show. Whether home at Ryan Field or away, the Guard joins the band in

cheering on our Big Ten Northwestern Wildcats football team in the stands. The Guard is a fun and dedicated group and would love to see new faces who want to join the organization. There are no auditions; guard and/or dance experience is preferred, but not required. To learn more about joining the NUMB Guard, please Contact NUMB or the current captain(s).
