It was formerly known as Generating Opportunities for Leadership Development (GOLD), a student group under OFSL. Our organization is geared toward providing men at Northwestern University with an outlet for civic engagement. Our goal is to foster leadership among men and promote participation within and contribution to the development of the Northwestern University community as well as the Latinx community. We strive to cultivate men and provide them with the support necessary to become leaders and gentlemen through achievement in academics, commitment to service and philanthropy, cultural competence, and active involvement both within and beyond the university. We aim to establish a collegiate environment in which diversity is truly palpable, where Latinx students in particular become a potent force on campus through their active engagement in leadership roles. Although our organization was founded in the interest of the Latinx community, we would like to emphasize that we welcome students of all cultural backgrounds.
