Many, many thanks to all the authors who submitted. We were truly humbled by the quality of the books; it made our job selecting the shortlist and winner incredibly difficult but deeply rewarding for myself and the students involved.

Please join us in celebrating Dogs and all the amazing shortlisted books!

📅 1 – 2 p.m.
📍 Kleymeyer Hall (LA0101)

To Hear a War from Far Away: A Poetry Reading explores how constant exposure to livestreamed suffering and endless “doomscrolling” shapes our sense of self, intimacy, and daily life. Through poetry, Moffett reflects on navigating the modern world as an American mother in an age of infinite news.

Free and open to the public.
