Mu Monday 💖

This week our Mu Monday is Mary Butler!

Mary is our Ritual chair, Historian, and serves as a member on our Honors committee. Mary considers themself from Ft. Knox Kentucky, but is a military brat, and has lived in over 10 houses throughout 7 states across the US. Her family is moving again this winter to Delaware!

Mary’s experience in Phi Mu:
“I originally joined Phi Mu because I wanted to give greek life a chance through formal recruitment. I use to be really against it due to the stereotypes set by the bigger schools but I stayed because of the difference that phi mu made throughout recruitment. My sisters have truly made an impact on me and who I want to strive to be from encouraging me to take positions to allowing me to destress with scream sessions in the suite! I’m going to be a big soon and I can’t wait to continue my Greek family’s legacy!”

Our Mu Monday this week is Micah Jesus!

Micah is a Psychology major with Gender & Women's Studies and Pre-Professional Social Work minors. In Phi Mu, Micah is Philanthropy Chair! A fun fact about them is they are really close to both our philanthropies because of themself and their best friend.

Micah’s experience in our chapter: “I joined Phi mu because they accepted me for who I was without any expectation of me changing. I stayed because that held true. I could be myself and I was accepted for it. I found my family.”

With Go Greek happening here is why Micah joined our sorority!

✨ I joined Phi Mu because I felt accepted. It didn't matter that I was non-binary and used they/them. My siblings accepted me for who I was. On top of that, I found support. I found a series of people that would be there for me through everything. I met my best friends in Phi Mu. I cannot imagine my life if I hadn't joined Phi Mu. ✨

We hope everyone can find their home in Greek 💞
