Have you heard of Alaskans installing heat pumps in their homes and are curious to learn more about them? At noon today Tom Marsik will host a free one-hour virtual class on air-source heat pumps.

Wondering if an air-source heat pump is the right technology for your home?

This class on Tuesday October 6th from noon-1pm AKT breaks down what you need to know. Heat pumps work differently in the various regions of Alaska so join this class to learn how modern heat pump systems work, where they perform best, what to consider before installation, and how they can help reduce heating costs. We’ll also touch on heat pumps as air conditioners, available incentives, and real-world examples from Alaska homeowners.

Do you want to know about the actions being taken now that could impact the value that UED would bring to Alaskan ratepayers? Register to attend REAP's Fall Energy Speaker Series webinar on Unified Economic Dispatch.

As part of REAP's 2026 Spring Energy Speaker Series, we hosted a webinar introducing the concept of Unified Economic Dispatch, which is a process of grid-wide coordination that could save Alaska ratepayers millions on energy costs each year. At the end of that discussion, we teased a continuation of the conversation which we are pleased to bring to you now!

We hope you will join us next Wednesday for this virtual lunchtime conversation with Alaska energy experts to learn about:
🤝What it could practically look like to adopt Unified Economic Dispatch in the Railbelt; and
💰Actions being taken now – and decisions about to be made – that could impact the value that UED would bring to Alaska ratepayers.
