¿Cómo pasamos de la crisis al sistema que realmente merecemos? Esa es la pregunta que impulsa los Next System Teach-Ins, y la invitación a organizar uno en tu comunidad en abril de 2027.

Para apoyar ese trabajo, lanzamos una Serie de Talleres para Organizadoras y Organizadores. El primero será el 24 de abril de 2026: "Lecciones desde el Teerritorio", con reflexiones de organizadores que marcaron la ola de 2025. Herramientas, estrategia y conexión para construir un movimiento de alcance local y vínculo global.

We’re honored to host Nairuti Shastry as a part of the Next System Speaker Series. As the inaugural Director of Policy & Research at the for Economic Democracy - CED , Nairuti’s work lives at the intersection of policy, movement building, and translocal organizing.

She’s spent her career holding resource-holders accountable, supporting anchor institutions, and—as she describes it—helping communities "hospice the old and birth the new."

This conversation will offer an introduction to Community Wealth-Building.

On Tuesday, March 24, April Doner kicks off the 2026 Next System Speaker Series. Drawing on her work in asset-based community organizing, her lifelong practice as a community artist, and direct resistance alongside neighbors in Chicago’s Little Village, she will explore both the urgent challenges and the transformative potential of this moment. Her talk will focus on how community, imagination, and the relational work of “weaving”—across neighborhoods, movements, and sectors—can support deep social and cultural change. The event will be held online; registration is required.

Un sincero agradecimiento a quienes pudieron acompañarnos el jueves pasado para celebrar la ola 2025 de los Talleres para el Próximo Sistema (Next System Teach-Ins). 🤩🥳✊🙌

Más de 70 personas de Argentina, Puerto Rico, México, Reino Unido, Canadá, Alemania, India, Irak y Estados Unidos nos reunimos para escuchar las historias de líderes que están cambiando sistemas en todo el hemisferio occidental. Fue realmente inspirador, y vernos a todas y todos reunidos en un mismo espacio permitió dimensionar la abundante creatividad, el liderazgo y la capacidad colectiva para construir el mundo que queremos, presente en cada rincón del planeta.

A sincere thank you to those who were able to join us last Thursday as we celebrated the 2025 wave of Next System Teach-Ins! 🤩🥳✊

Over 70 of us from Argentina, Puerto Rico, Mexico, UK, Canada, Germany, India, Iraq, and the United States gathered to listen to the stories of system-change leaders across the western hemisphere. It was genuinely inspiring, and seeing everyone gathered together in one space put into perspective the abundant creativity, leadership, and collective capacity for bringing about the world we want exists in every part of the world.

We also want to send a massive thank you to our interpreters, Tammy and Adriana of https://interpreters.coop/, for their critical work in ensuring that this event was accessible and honoured the internationalist orientation of the Next System Teach-Ins.
