We are proud to celebrate Poojya Bommannan, a graduate of the Master of Health Administration program from the Department of Health Administration & Policy, who is making her mark in healthcare operations at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Texas.

During her time at Mason, Poojya's capstone project on telehealth and patient access earned her the department's Innovation in Patient Access Award. Today, she brings that same dedication to her role as a Patient Services Coordinator, ensuring the administrative side of healthcare never hinders patient care.

We are proud to celebrate several recent professional achievements and recognitions earned by John Cantiello in healthcare leadership and quality improvement.

At the ACHCA Conference in Orlando, Cantiello and colleague Renee Geschke received the Best Professional Poster Award for their presentation, Aging Well in the Digital Age: Can Podcasts Engage and Support Older Adults? The project explored how podcasts and digital tools can support engagement, health literacy, and well-being among older adults. Cantiello was also recognized during the conference awards ceremony for achieving Fellowship status with ACHCA.

In addition, Cantiello recently completed the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Fellowship program and participated in the IHI Forum in Anaheim alongside an international cohort of healthcare professionals focused on advancing healthcare quality and patient-centered care.

Through his continued professional engagement and leadership, Cantiello brings current industry knowledge and practical experience into the classroom, enriching student learning and strengthening connections between academia and the healthcare field.
