You’re invited to the opening reception of "Flare: Finding a Sense of Place in the Chronically Ill Body", a new exhibition by College of Visual and Performing Arts alumni Brianna Camp (BFA, Art and Visual Technology ’23), debuting at Mason Exhibitions Arlington.

Created with support from the CVPA Young Alumni Commissioning Project, "Flare" brings together large-scale oil paintings, poetry, and documentary photography to explore Camp’s lived experience with chronic illness.

Drawing from a decade of walks around Royal Lake Park in Fairfax, Virginia, the work traces connections between a transforming landscape and a body in constant flux asking how grief, healing, and self-trust can coexist.
