We are committed to training students at all levels, from high school students who intern with us through post-doctoral students seeking to gain additional skills after receiving their doctoral degree. The department serves more undergraduate majors (roughly 1,300) than any other department in the university, as well as a strong cadre of graduate students (roughly 250) who participate in one of ou

r five specialty areas of study: applied developmental psychology, biological psychology, clinical psychology, human factors and applied cognition, industrial-organizational psychology, and school psychology. Students at all levels have the opportunity to work side by side with our faculty in their labs; some of these students go on to do their own independent research through our undergraduate honors program. https://www.facebook.com/groups/201847389884497/

It's GIVING TUESDAY - please consider donating to the Center for Community Mental Health!

Philanthropic support is critical to helping our Center meet its mission of serving our community. The generous donations we received last year helped us provide free/low-cost services to 143 clients in the Northern Virginia area! Your donations truly matter and have a real lasting impact in our community.

There are two funds you can choose from to support:

1) Our general fund provides critical support for individual clients at our Center who otherwise may not have been able to afford services.

2) The Jen DiMauro Memorial Fund helps provide FREE therapy and assessment services to veterans and their direct dependents.

Whichever fund you choose, we thank you for your continued support on this Giving Tuesday!
