Gaining valuable firsthand exposure to civil and commercial litigation, the experience strengthened her understanding of the judicial process and allowed her to further explore the legal field.

Logan Runde ’27, sports media major, spent the summer working with the Norwich Sea Unicorns' Broadcast and Media Relations team, gaining firsthand experience across multiple areas of the sports media industry.

Throughout his 12-week internship, Logan created social media content, conducted in-game interviews, worked in play-by-play and color broadcasting roles, and contributed to pregame and postgame shows.

Fairfield University's low-residency Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing program brings together writers from a wide range of ages, professions, and backgrounds.

Gillian Graham '27, communication major, spent her summer as a Ticket Services Intern with the Philadelphia Phillies, gaining experience in ticketing, customer service, private events, and behind-the-scenes operations. During her internship, Gillian also had the opportunity to work MLB All-Star Week, supporting events including the Home Run Derby and 2026 MLB All-Star Game.

Throughout their time in Fairfield Meditz, sports media undergraduate students don't just learn about the sports industry, they gain experience producing it. Through the Stags Sports Network, students take on roles from camera operator and graphics producer to replay technician, director, and on-air talent, producing 140+ varsity events each year.

Since launching in 2020, the program has grown to 20+ student producers, preparing the next generation of sports media professionals for careers with organizations like ESPN, NBC Sports, and MLB Network.

Morgan Zickendrath '27, psychology major, spent the summer interning at The Inner You Counseling Center, working with children ages 6–13 at a therapeutic summer camp while helping promote the center's programs through social media. She facilitated activities focused on mental health, well-being, and healthy relationships, helping children build social and emotional skills in a supportive environment.

Assistant Professor of Art History and Ancient Mediterranean Studies Andrew Ward, PhD, and Fairfield University students Maya Jackman '27 and Ryan Walsh '28 spent the summer in Selinunte, Sicily, participating in an archaeological field season.

Working alongside an international team, they gained valuable hands-on experience in excavation, documentation, and archaeological research.

Fairfield University's Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program is one of the few programs in the country to offer students the opportunity to win a professional book contract through The Fairfield Book Prize.

Awarded every two years, the prize recognizes an MFA student or alumni who has entered an original and compelling book-length manuscript to its contest. The winning author receives a $1,000 prize, a standard royalty book contract, and publication through Woodhall Press, an independent publisher founded by three Fairfield MFA alumni.
