The marching arts community is a family that reaches far beyond any one campus.

The Sacred Heart University Band stands with the University of Iowa, the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, the Hawkeye Marching Band, and the entire Hawkeye community during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with Derek Phillips’ family, friends, and everyone affected by this loss.

In moments of loss, we come together as one band family to support one another. We are sending love and strength to the Hawkeyes today and will continue to stand alongside you. ❤️

We’re honored to announce that the Sacred Heart University Wind Ensemble has been named a 2026 finalist in the College/University Division of The American Prize, one of the nation’s most prestigious performing arts competitions. The recognition comes from our 2025 concert, "Music of Politics and Social Justice" with guest artists Kimberley Locke and Matthew Cimino, and reflects the artistry, dedication, and passion of our student musicians.
