Good Morning, STREAM Innovations, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to helping students to develop and explore their passion for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STREAM) by providing exposure, experiences, and engagement with high expectations for their success. They promote collaborative innovation to engage students in their desired STREAM discipline(s) and innovate solutions to real world problems in their communities.

STREAM Innovations is currently in the middle of a summer boot camp for seventh- and eighth-graders in which they are learning how to develop Web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery at Inglenook Elementary School, which is right behind the airport. They conduct a morning session and an afternoon session Mondays through Thursdays. They have teachers for the mornings each day and for the afternoons Wednesdays and Thursdays. They need teachers for Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The needed availability would be approximately 1:00-2:30pm. If you are interested in assisting with this program, please contact Dr. Adrienne Starks at (205) 418-8227 or at [email protected]. This would be a tremendous opportunity to hone your Web development skills. Of course, you should already have some knowledge of the concepts that they are using. However, your willingness to do your own research (e.g., via YouTube) to plug any gaps that you have prior to the class day could make up the difference. Having your knowledge base intact prior to class is very important because the students are loaded with specific questions.
