NDSU alumnus and Napoleon ag teacher Brian Schneider was recently named North Dakota's 2027 Teacher of the Year!

Schneider attended NDSU from 1982-86, earning a degree in agricultural education and a minor in general science. He's now in his 41st year of teaching, helping students build skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

As an FFA leader, he has helped Napoleon's FFA chapter earn more than 150 state individual and team championships, three national championships in Agricultural Sales and numerous top 10 national finishes.

Congratulations, Brian! We love seeing NDSU alumni making a difference in their communities and shaping the next generation.

Bison Pride knows no boundaries!

For 1987 NDSU graduate Mitchell Trageton, his Bison journey took him from Northwood, North Dakota, to the Las Vegas Strip, where his work has helped shape some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Mirage, Bellagio, Treasure Island and Wynn.

Now, as NDSU football heads to Las Vegas for a Mountain West matchup against UNLV, Mitchell gets to welcome the Bison to his longtime home.

Happy National 4-H week!

It’s National 4-H Week, and we’re celebrating the young people, volunteers and communities who make 4-H possible across North Dakota.

Through North Dakota 4-H 🍀, youth across the state are building leadership skills, exploring STEM and agriculture, serving their communities, developing career skills and discovering what they’re capable of. From local clubs and camps to school enrichment, hands-on projects and statewide leadership opportunities, 4-H creates experiences that help young people grow with confidence.

Our goal is bigger than preparing youth for their next step. We’re helping them become Beyond Ready. Ready to lead, ready to solve problems, ready to contribute to their communities and ready to navigate an ever-changing world.

Thank you Governor Kelly Armstrong, for your proclamation recognizing National 4-H Week and the impact 4-H has across North Dakota.

Ready to get involved? Connect with your local NDSU Extension office for opportunities in your area https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/extension/extension-county-offices

Here’s to the next generation of North Dakota leaders. 💚

Today, we opened the doors to a new chapter for engineering at NDSU.

We celebrated the dedication of the Richard Offerdahl '65 Engineering Complex, a nearly $100 million, 286,000-square-foot facility that brings modern teaching, research and collaboration space to the College of Engineering.

Made possible through a partnership among the State of North Dakota, Richard and Linda Offerdahl, industry partners and numerous donors, the complex gives Bison engineers new opportunities to take on bigger projects, work across disciplines, connect with industry and turn ideas into something real.

"Projects like this demonstrate what can happen when people come together around a shared commitment to students and the future of North Dakota," said President Marshall Stewart. "This facility strengthens our ability to serve students, advance innovation and support workforce needs across the region."

This is more than a new building. It’s a place where students, faculty, researchers and industry partners will help shape what’s next for North Dakota and beyond.
