The fundamental purpose of the Sigma Chi Fraternity is the cultivation, maintenance and accomplishment of the ideals of friendship, justice and learning within our membership. Sigma Chi Fraternity best serves its purpose by developing, implementing and monitoring programs that foster leadership, build character and promote positive relationship skills which, in turn, enable our members to become productive and caring participants in their families, colleges and communities.

At Sigma Chi Gamma Tau, we are committed not only to our national standards of excellence but also to the support, protection and development of the women in our lives.
The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi has been a long standing symbol of strength, love and support. Every woman has the potential to be a Sweetheart, and so every woman is treated with as much respect and dignity as any Sweetheart would be.
Jane Doe’s experience is not new or uncommon. It needs to be recognized that a situation like this can and certainly has happened without any media or legal attention. That is not to excuse the brothers of Chi Phi Fraternity, but to remind us that we need to stay ever vigilant when it comes to the safety and comfort of the women around us.
If you see or hear a type of behavior from your friends, colleagues, or those around you which could cause a woman harm, you should not only be bound by obligation to assist but bound by your base morals.
For the mothers, wives, daughters and Sweethearts: Sigma Chi Gamma Tau will continue to be unwavering in our support, respect and loyalty to you.

OFFICIALLY CHIDAY, and the LAST DAY OF RUSH 👀

If you weren’t able to make it to a rush event and you wanted to check out Sigma Chi, fear not! We’ll have events all semester for you to stop by and get to know our brothers. 🤝✌️

RUSH WEEK: DAY 4

Stop by the Sigma Chi house for a Thursday Night Football Watchparty! We’ll have snacks, brats and hot dogs, pop and more 🔥🏈

If the weather allows, you can find our Watchparty outside with the projector up, enjoying the fresh air!

Missed our Casino Night? Don’t let it get you down! We still have prizes to win, so while you’re watching the game you can indulge in some Blackjack with the brothers and win some prizes 👀🃏🪎

*IMPORTANT RUSH UPDATE*

Good morning and Happy Rush Week!

Due to the weather outlook today, Sigma Chi will NOT be cancelling our rush event- we’ll just bring the party indoors!

In the event of rain, you’re still welcome at the house for yard games and good (still grilled 😉) grub in the basement, Wii games and snacks (with the root b**r, don’t you worry) in the chapter room, and plenty more!

Should the weather clear up by 5pm, you’ll find us outside!

TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 14th 👀

Gamma Tau will be starting off NDSU’s Rush Week with some grilling and chilling in the back yard of the Sigma Chi house 🔥🍔🇺🇸

Come on by to compete against brothers in Co****le, Spikeball, KanJam and other fun yard games 🥏😎

Grab a plate and get served up some grill out grub such as smoked pork ribs, grilled burgers and hot dogs, venison snack sausage with cheese, and an array of chips. Not to mention an ice cold glass of root b**r, straight from the tap 🍔🌭🥤

We’ll have the house open for tours, and any of our brothers will have the information you need to answer any questions or concerns about pledging to Sigma Chi 😉

On this day, we at Sigma Chi pay tribute to those lost in the September 11th attacks. A total of 2,977 victims. 10 of those lost souls were proud brothers of Sigma Chi, and we hold space in our hearts for their families and incredible sacrifice.

Rush Week is almost here at NDSU 🔥🔥
Sigma Chi would like to invite any students interested in joining a fraternity to our epic Grill Out, Bowling Night, Casino Night and Watchparty 🍔🎳🃏🏈
Monday the 14th at 5pm you can find us in the backyard of the Sigma Chi house with music, yard games, food fresh from the grill and a root b**r kegger! Come hungry and ready to party 🎉🍔🌭
Tuesday the 15th at 5pm stop by the Memorial Union and into Thundar’s Game Room! You can bowl with the brothers for free, with snacks and drinks provided 🎳🍿
Wednesday the 16th at 5pm you can join us back at the Sigma Chi house for a no-cash Casino Night with blackjack and poker. There are prizes to win, snacks and drinks provided, and brothers you can play against! ♠️♥️♣️♦️
Thursday evening show up to the Sigma Chi house at 6:45 for a Game Day Watchparty. We’ll have the Bills vs. Lions game up on our projector, and a good night in with the NFL 🏈🔥
Show up to any one or all of these events, get along with the brothers, show good character and you just may receive an invite for our private Bid Dinner 👀

Hello NDSU! We at Sigma Chi are excited to announce our September 2026 Rush Week schedule!
Come by on Monday at 5:00pm for a grill out; we’ll have venison sausages, hot dogs, burgers and more with yard games and music to keep the vibes going!
Tuesday come meet us at the Memorial Union at 5:00pm for bowling with the brothers- free entry and snacks provided!
Wednesday is our famous Sigma Chi Casino Night, a non-cash game night with poker and blackjack as well as prizes to win, also at the Sigma Chi house 5:00pm.
Thursday the brothers would like to welcome you to our chapter room for a Thursday Night Football game day watch party, showing the Bills and Lions game at 6:45pm.
If you jive with all the brothers you may just receive a an invitation to our Friday night (invite only) bid dinner!
